Welcome to Uncle Rico's Coaching Staff Tryouts, whether this is just another NFL pick ‘em pool or a path that lands you on the sideline with Coach Uncle Rico, all comes down to one thing… your picks.

Here’s a rundown of the format and rules for the pool.

Official Pick ‘EM Pool Rules

Scope: Regular season only (18 weeks).
Entry Fee & Payouts: $20 entry collected upfront. $240 total pot divided and paid at season's end.
- 1st Place: $144 (60%)
- 2nd Place: $72 (30%)
- 3rd Place: $24 (10%)
Eligible Games: Sunday and Monday games only. No Thursday or Saturday matchups.
Standard Scoring: 1 point for every correct straight-up winner. 0 points for losses or ties.

The "Upset-Proof" Pick (Bonus Point)

At the bottom of your weekly form, select one team you are most confident will win their game. The teams available for selection are the teams favored to win, so pick the team you are convinced will not be upset.
- Correct: +1 extra bonus point.
- Incorrect: 0 points.
How it works: If you pick 10 regular games correctly, plus your Upset-Proof team wins, you score 11 points for the week.

Deadlines & Missed Weeks

Picks lock at the kickoff of the first Sunday game.
- 1st Missed Week: You automatically get assigned all Underdogs for that week (and no Upset-Proof pick).
- 2nd Missed Week (& beyond): Automatic 0 points for the week.

Tiebreaker

If there's a tie for a payout spot at the end of the season, the player with the most total correct Upset-Proof picks wins the tiebreaker.
